Letters of Yage is a visual book designed by Tommaso Agostini based on the epistolary novel by William S. Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg, that centres on their search for yage, a plant fabled to produce powerful hallucinations and, according to some, even bestow telepathic qualities.
Divided into two parts via a leporello bind, one part references the rational, methodical research of Burroughs, portrayed through both clean, and playful type, the other features explosive, fluid imagery, representing both Burrough’s and Ginsberg’s descriptions of the effects of yage.
