In 2012, Riccardo Nava found a sealed box of photographs at a Berlin flea market. Inside was a collection of photographs of a dog, often in very human-like poses and situations. On the back of one of the photos was simply written the name “Oliver”.
Riccardo compiled the images into a surprisingly sad publication. With “Oliver” appearing to be taking the place of a human companion, the images and the subject matter appear to hint at the owners’ loneliness.
