This ternary of sketchbooks gives an insight into the restless mind of Swedish artist EKTA, aka Daniel Götesson. Each book is crammed with experiments using a range of mediums, including collage, paint, ink, and tape, the purpose being simply to create and experiment until all the pages are full.

These sketchbooks are now being replicated and published by design studio Lundgren+Lindqvist, funded partly via a Kickstarter campaign. All 360 pages will be painstakingly reproduced on the finest Swedish paper stock.

“During one of our frequent visits to Ekta’s studio, the artist allowed us a rare peek into one of his sketchbooks, hidden in a drawer under his table. It completely blew our minds. We immediately knew that we had to publish it.” says Andreas Friberg Lundgren, Art director of the project and co-founder of Lundgren+Lindqvist.
