The Seasons Collection is a book project by London design studio Planning Unit for photographer Matt Alberts.
The hardback book showcases Matt’s ‘Lifers’ Project in which he toured parts of America on three occasions, photographing and documenting the skaters, surfers and snowboarders who have dedicated their lives to the culture they love. In essence, they are ‘lifers’ of the culture they adopted.
The book is split into three sections, Sun, Water, and Snow, each with writings by former pro-snowboarder Brad Steward, a map detailing the route Matt took on that trip, and of course a selection of fantastic skate, surf or snow photography by Matt himself.
Planning Unit also created two bespoke display fonts for the book – Dogfight and Soapbox.
